Products spanning from single conductor big gauge to multi-conductor in both short and long lengths coupled many times with custom designed moldings to fit your specific need. A focused factory dedicated to cable assemblies can provide certified quality and unmatched service at cost-effective prices.
Also referred to as Battery Cables, Kauffman Engineering can supply a range from 6 AWG to 2/0 AWG products to fit your need. Cables can be combined with our internally designed, tooled and fabricated terminals to facilitate lead time and provide a cost savings opportunity.
We have established a reliable supply chain of component parts, including joint inventory management programs. We use all recognized industry standard connectors, such as; Tyco/AMP®, Delphi®, Molex®, Deutsch®… and we are capable to custom designing/molding terminals and connectors as well.
All Kauffman Engineering, Inc. wires are UL® approved. We offer the industry's most commonly used sizes; 0 AWG to 22AWG wires, and also have the capability of wire extrusion. Our extensive set of solid wire color variety includes striped color combinations. We provide standard UL® style MTW and CSA approved TEW and AWM rated wire insulation, as well as higher temperature UL® style GXL (X-link) insulation as part of our flexibility.
Automated cutting, terminating and printing technology allowing us to lead the industry in; efficiency, quality and consistency in specification such as lengths and crimp integrity.
Our use of Sonic Welding Technology assures long term, secure and durable connection for every splice. Should the application specify the use of mechanical splices, we certainly have technical capability to meet that specification.
Kauffman is one of only a few harness manufacturers with their own in-house tool shop to support their signature molding processes; whether they be simple bullet terminals or unique multi-pin molded connectors. We accept all molding challenges to best support your application.
Kauffman has the capability to design, fabricate tooling and stamp inserts in several common materials. Being vertically integrated improves speed to market and flexibility in design.
We offer wide range of switch/system assembly options that combine wires with plastic components, switches, printed circuit boards, housings, etc. along with a wide range of tubing capabilities, such as; standard and high-temperature loom protections, as well as wire braiding capabilities. Optional methods to provide protection of circuits such as fuses, diodes, resistors or relays can be added upon request.
Finished harnesses and/or assemblies are tested using original mate connectors whenever possible. Every test is performed using the most up-to-date software scanning technology designed specifically for that part.
PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY/ELECTRONIC MANUFACTURING SERVICES
Our EMS personnel follow strict ESD procedures and are certified to IPC standards for both leaded and ROHS (Lead-Free) work cells. Automated, Through-hole, BGA and Surface-mount assembly, combined with no-clean soldering techniques allows us to serve many industries. Diagnostic and/or functional testing along with design for manufacturing assistance completes the spectrum of capabilities to best meet your needs.
