SIFT THROUGH THE PAPERWORK
In the average 20 pages of a defense RFQ submission there are two to three with relevant data to estimate a quote. The rest are standards and regulations that are important for production but can overwhelm an engineer for the initial quote. Look for a drawing and a BOM. If you don’t have both of those the other 18 pages are meaningless.
DEMAND TEST DATA AND LOT CONTROL
Those other 18 pages have important information for production. Make sure your supplier can provide the right documentation and have sufficient lot control to meet your needs.
