STANDARDIZE THE SUB-ASSEMBLIES
With test equipment, sometimes every unit is unique. Even in this scenario it is still possible to standardize. Consider the wires inside, in some cases they are actually similar. By standardizing those small parts you can expedite production of the whole product.
WATCH THE WIRE GAUGE
Using a larger diameter than necessary wire can actually make small changes to the frequency or current from point to point. Be careful to use the wire size that fits both the connection and the application. In test equipment, bigger is not necessarily better
